Streets and Sweets Mexico Terms and Conditions:

 

Streets and Sweets Mexico includes the following in our tour service:

• Specialized tour guide service.

• Cultural and historical information linked with food.

• Other fun activities applicable on a case-to-case basis.

• Food tasted on the tour, the food provided on the tour can be changed at any time by Streets and Sweets Mexico (beverages may be provided at some point but are not included on every stop).

 

The following are not included in our tour service:

• Personal expenses.

• Travel expenses to and from the tour.

• Personal snacks and beverages outside of those included in the tour.

• Souvenirs.

• Medical expenses and medicine.

• Tips.

Reservation and Payment:

We require the tour to be booked in its entirety, before the tour commences.  This payment can easily be made by credit card via linked payment portals.  Reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance of the tour date. The tour is not considered confirmed until it has been paid for.

Cancellation Policy:

If a customer cancels a reservation, Streets and Sweets Mexico must receive written notice of said cancellation via e-mail at tours@streetsandsweets.com . Groups of 5 carry a non-refundable 50% deposit.

Refunds will work as follows:

• Cancellations 8 or more days before tour date — 100 percent refund of tour balance. Streets and Sweets Mexico retains the non-refundable deposit in the case of group reservations of 5 or more individuals.

• Cancellations 7 or less days before tour — NO refund

• For groups of 10 people or larger, cancellations made 21 days or less before a tour date will NOT be refunded.

 

 

 

Cancellation by vendor or Streets and Sweets Mexico:

We grant a full refund of all monies including booking fees, if we or our suppliers cancel a trip. You have the option to accept an alternative tour, or your money will be refunded. This is not meant to supersede our policy or right to change itineraries. We have the right to and will exercise last-minute changes due to circumstances that may arise.

No refunds or credits are issued for itinerary changes. See Schedules and Tours.


Schedules and Tours:

Schedules will be kept as quoted, though we reserve the right to change any schedule (timing) and offer alternative itineraries to our participants. There is limited chance of this occurring, but it can happen due to the unpredictable nature of traffic, construction, political manifestations, etc., in Mexico. The amount of time a participant takes within each stage of the itinerary is the participant’s responsibility. Streets and Sweets Mexico will not be responsible if there is not enough time to visit all the promised stages in the itinerary.

We constantly confirm that the places we visit are open to the public. However, if you booked a tour to a site that is unexpectedly closed due to any reason, we reserve the right to re-schedule.

Restaurants and Food:

Restaurants and food experience are a very important part of our tours. For each tour, we carefully plan and select the restaurants and eateries that are to serve as representatives of Mexican cuisine.

All culinary operations are run by outside entities and not Streets and Sweets Mexico: Restaurants, Shops, Markets and Street Stalls. We offer a planned culinary tour and, most importantly, varied cuisine. If you have food allergies or intolerance or a severe dislike for certain foods, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO LET US KNOW AND TO NOT ACCEPT ANY FOOD FROM A VENDOR WITHOUT KNOWING ITS ORIGIN FIRST.

 

 

 

Legal Information:

Sending the reservation fee to Streets and Sweets Mexico grants & constitutes consent of the tour to the terms and conditions explained herein. Our tours begin on your arranged pickup time and end at your drop-off.

Streets and Sweets Mexico has the right to remove any disruptive or disrespectful customer without notice. A removed customer is not an agreement of a refund or credit. All funds paid to Streets & Sweets Mexico will be forfeited and are not considered refundable. We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of any customer at our sole discretion without notice or cause.

Streets and Sweets Mexico cannot be held responsible for acts beyond its control, ie: acts of Nature, Acts of War, Planned or Unplanned attacks. We are not responsible for damages or losses including loss of income from persons or entities not controlled by Streets and Sweets Mexico Food Tours, such as Restaurants, Chefs, Caterers or any provider. In the event of any claims, disputes arising from our relationship or caused by the tours; all parties consent to having their grievances heard in the jurisdictions and venues of the courts in Mexico City, Mexico City, Mexico.

Waiver of Liability:

It is each individual participant’s responsibility to read and understand the terms and conditions of Streets and Sweets Mexico prior to submitting the signed Waiver and Release of Liability Form.

I agree that Streets and Sweets Mexico, their employees, owners, affiliates, officers, directors, successors, agents, and assigns, do not own or operate any entity which provides, or is to provide, goods and services for my tour, including food services providers, food and produce suppliers. As a result, Streets and Sweets Mexico is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of such third person, or of any other third party.

In addition, I acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in the tour designated on this application. I do so with the knowledge of the risks and dangers involved, including but not limited to:

• negligence in the conduct or arrangement of this trip in any respect from inception to completion;

• physical exertion for which I am not prepared;

• forces of nature;

• transportation failures whether by car, boat, by foot, or by any other conveyance;

• consumption of alcoholic beverages;

• risks associated with food or impure water;

• civil unrest; terrorism;

• criminal activity;

• accident or illness without access to means of rapid evacuation or availability of medical supplies or services;

• the adequacy of medical attention once provided;

• Damaged, stolen, lost, or misplaced luggage or property.

I HEREBY AGREE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN WELFARE AND PROPERTIES AND ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISKS OF DELAY, UNANTICIPATED EVENTS, INCONVENIENCE, ILLNESS, INJURY, EMOTIONAL TRAUMA OR DEATH.

I acknowledge that participation in Streets and Sweets Mexico services is based upon my execution of this Liability Waiver. I hereby RELEASE AND DISCHARGE FOREVER STREETS & SWEETS MEXICO AND ALL ASSOCIATES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY ARISING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN THE TOUR. I agree that this release shall be legally binding upon me personally, all members of my family, and all minors traveling with me, my and their heirs, successors, assigns, and legal representatives, it being my attention to fully assume all the risks associated with this trip and release Streets & Sweets Mexico and all associates from any and all liabilities to the maximum extent of the law.
